- This is the first of 10 sessions held by ACC-Warren with the purpose of engaging industry to disseminate information, exchange feedback and build rapport. Attendees will receive an hour presentation on a relevant topic, and then have the opportunity to engage key ACC-Warren personnel (Division Chiefs, key leadership, etc.) in an hour of Q&A discussion. We also intend to spend time on pertinent items of note to industry (major policy changes, conferences, etc). Sessions are free, and open to all industry regardless of NAICS classification. Key ACC-Warren leadership and personnel will be present at all sessions. Procurement/Source Selection sensitive information will not be discussed during this event First Session Topic: Roles Involved in the Contracting Process Topic Overview: Examine the various roles and responsibilities of personnel involved in the acquisition process. Discuss how these participants should work together and interact within the process. Describe the specific roles and responsibilities of a buyer, PCO, Group and Division Chief. Explain how the requirement office fits into the process. Illustrate the flow of a requirement, and discuss what happens when a buyer receives the requirement. What the buyer must do during the solicitation, evaluation, award and post award. Give an overview of the supporting areas such as small business, DCAA, DCMA.
