- Attachment 4: Medical School Verification Attachment 3: Skills Survey Attachment 2: Application Attachment 1: Statement of Work Peace Corps (PC) seeks licensed physician to serve as Peace Corps Regional Medical Officer (RMO) in Dakar, Senegal or Rabat, Morocco. See attached statement of work for complete description of responsibilities (Attachment 1) Required qualifications •Currently licensed physician •Minimum five years recent, relevant primary care experience •Willing to travel extensively within a sub-region •A background security investigation will be required. The contract award will be subject to the contractor's successful completion of a background security investigation and favorable adjudication prior to award •No unfavorable actions related to medical malpractice, state license, clinical privileges, etc in National Practitioner Data Bank. •Contractors must be registered in the Systems for Award Management to be awarded a Federal Government contract. Registration can be accomplished at www.sam.gov Desired qualifications: Current or recent PCMO experience Knowledge of French or Arabic All Applicants should submit the following materials together to Peace Corps via email to the contact information listed below. Materials that must be submitted: 1.Current resume 2.Application form (Attachment 2) 3.Skills check list (Attachment 3) 4.Three letters of reference from professional colleagues 5.Copies of current professional licenses and certifications 6.Primary source verification of professional school attended submitted directly from the issuing institution. (Attachment 4). If Peace Corps has received the verification from a previous application, resubmission is not necessary. EVALUATION CRITERIA Peace Corps requires that RMO applicants have and maintain a current, active MD license. All practitioners must maintain their national certifications during the entire contract period. All candidates will be further evaluated on the following criteria. 1.Minimum five years recent, relevant primary care experience 2.Independent practice experience 3.Demonstrated ability to travel and live under difficult conditions and to work effectively in a cross- cultural environment 4.Training and experience in trauma care 5.Knowledge of endemic diseases and health hazards in developing countries 6.Counseling experience 7.Potential impact to Peace Corps health system 8.Current or recent Peace Corps Medical Officer experience 9.Experience providing preventive health education and training to non-medical personnel 10.Experience managing and administering health care systems, clinics, or out-patient programs 11.Verbal communication skills 12. Knowledge of French or Arabic
