Description

Domestic Water Testing Services as described in the Scope of Work below. The full solicitation will be posted within the next 24 hours. 1.Title of Project: Domestic Water Testing 2.Scope of Work: a.Conduct quarterly environmental water testing for Legionella in accordance with VHA Directive 1061 dated August 13, 2014, specifically Appendix C of the Directive which prescribes policies for Environmental Validation. i.VAMC Wilmington has two buildings meeting the requirement for Legionella testing. 10 outlets on the cold water distribution system and 10 outlets on the hot water distribution system will require testing on each quarterly testing cycle. ii.Contractor to propose testing laboratory to be used for approval by the Facility Water Safety Committee prior to performing tests. iii.Samples to be collected during normal business hours (M-F, 8a-4p). iv.Provide written test results to the VA. v. b.Conduct quarterly environmental testing of dental water lines in accordance with, "Infection Control Standards for VA Dental Clinics" dated 21 October 2013. i.Specific procedure is addressed on pages 24 and 25. ii.Assume (40) samples to be collected from dental lines. iii.Samples will need to be collected on a day M-F from 6a-8a in coordination with dental staff. iv.Provide written test results to the VA. v. c.Conduct semi-annual water sampling for lead and copper in accordance with the Office of Drinking Water letter dated May 28, 2014. i.Samples to be collected during normal business hours (M-F, 8a-4p). ii.Provide written test results to the VA. iii. 3.Performance Period: The expected period of performance for implementation will be 11/1/14 thru 10/31/15. 4.Type of Contract: Firm-Fixed-Price.
