Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The US Army needs a Pneumatic (Cortical) Impact Device Model AMS 201 and Automatic Average Rod Speed Measurement Unit, BRAND NAME OR EQUAL. This for a lab at Ft. Sam Houston, TX. MECs: Pneumatic (Cortical) Impact Device Model AMS 201 and Automatic Average Rod Speed Measurement Unit -Pneumatic (Cortical) Impact Device is designed to provide controlled cortical impact to small animals such as rats and/or mice for scientific studied. -Low pressure: 0 to 60 psi (0 to 4.15 atm) -High pressure: 0 to 160 psi (0 to 11.05 atm) -Power supply: 110 to 120 V AC -The direction angle of the pistol movement can be adjusted from vertical down (default direction) to plus minus 40 degree. -adjustable time sequence to move the cylinder -Display the waveform of rod movement during the experimental impact process on a PC screen -Automatically measure the rise time of the rod movement, calculate and display the average rod speed (speed of rod movement from 10% to 90% of the entire movement length) -The rise time of the rod movement, average rod speed and the corresponding impact time will be displayed on the PC screen and can be saved to a file.
