- Authorized vendors will rebuild three types of electron microwave tubes: 1. Double Duty Cross-Field Amplifier electron tube, NSN 7HH 5960 01-322-8417 annual minimum quantity 10 each, maximum quantity 400 each; 2. Water Cooled Vane Cross-Field Amplifier electron tube, NSN 7HH 5960-01-487-2175 annual minimum quantity 6 each, maximum quantity 70 each; and 3. Single Duty Cross-Field Amplifier electron tube, NSN 7HH 5960-01-605-9921 annual minimum quantity 1, maximum quantity 70 each. These tubes are a critical component in the AN-SPY-1 Radar System used on Navy AEGIS surface ships, i.e. both the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyers and Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruisers. Rebuild of the electron microwave tubes will be limited to the designated overhaul points, as previously authorized by extensive Navy qualification testing.
