Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice only to research availability of potential and eligible contractors for Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Whole House Maintenance (WHM) at U.S. Army Installations (Camp Zama, Sagamihara Family Housing Area and Sagami General Depot) in Kanto Plain, Japan. No award will be made from this notice. No solicitation will be available at this time; therefore, do not request a copy of a solicitation. The WHM contract is for recurring maintenance and repair of Army family housing. Work consist of painting, roofing, carpentry, mechanical, electrical work and other incidental services for housing. The maximum aggregate amount for the entire life of contract is estimated at $25 million. Contract period is estimated a basic year plus four (4) one-year options. Since the contemplating contract is to be performed in Japan, the offerors must meet the following two requirements for OCONUS: (1) DFARS 252.225-7042, "Authorization to Perform" - The offeror has been duly authorized to operate and to do business in the country or countries in which the contract is to be performed, and (2) FAR 52.236-7 (modified IAW AFFARS 5336.507), "Permits and Responsibilities" - The Contractor shall, without additional expense to the Government, be responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses and permits, and for complying with any host government and political subdivisions laws, codes, and regulations applicable to the performance of the work. Eligible contractors who are interested in the WHM contract are requested to respond to this notice. If you are interested in the WHM contract, please add your firm's name into interested vendors using "INTERESTED VENDOR LIST" function on this FBO no later than 5 Nov 2014, 4:00 p.m. (Japan Time).
