- This is a pre-solicitation synopsis in accordance with FAR 5.201. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the government. This synopsis is prepared in accordance with guidance found in FAR 5.207, and is prepared for the purpose of notifying potential offerors of an upcoming solicitation for service or supplies. The solicitation for this requirement will be posted under the same reference number as stated above. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor FedBizOpps on a regular basis for the solicitation along with any amendments. The United States Air Force anticipates the purchase of a Maintenance Service Contract for AMT Cengrifuge for MMXG of the 309MXW at Hill AFB as described in a Perfomance-Based Work Statement that will be provided during the solicitation period. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), non-commercial, Sole Source Contract to Calistoga Consulting Company. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 811219, which has a corresponding Size standard of $20.5M. The entire solicitation package shall be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) Web Site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Requests for copies of the solicitation package, or any cumulative parts thereof, by any other means shall not be honored. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring the FedBizOpps website for the release of the solicitation package, for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package and for downloading their own copy of each associative amendment, if any. Contractors must comply with FAR 52.204-7 in order to submit a proposal subsequent to the solicitation described herein and MUST be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM#1. Solicitation FA8224-14-R-0158 RFP package should be provided shortly. The Contract Negotiator and Contracting Officer information is listed below. No response to this announcement is required. The government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this announcement. The solicitation subsequent to this announcement may be cancelled. After solicitation and prior to award the possibility exists to reject all offers when cancellation is clearly in the public interest. This announcement does not obligate the Government to pay for any bid/proposal preparation costs. Furthermore, the funding for this requirement has not been officially certified and the Air Force currently cannot guarantee procurement.
