- Description
- The U.S. Army Aviation Development Directorate (ADD) - Aviation Applied Technology Directorate (AATD) will hold an informational interchange meeting on Helicopter Military Operations Technology (HELMOT) on 29 October 2014. This meeting is being conducted in order to contact knowledgeable members of industry regarding market capabilities to meet current and future requirements as well as to inform government personnel in attendance. Topics will focus on how vertical lift technologies impact mission performance in the current operational environment around the world, and the flexibility of future planning for the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security manned rotorcraft and unmanned aerial systems. The meeting will consist of a full day of classified SECRET presentations restricted to U.S. citizens only with the appropriate clearance, held on Fort Eustis, Virginia. No electronic devices will be allowed in the meeting facility. No note taking will be allowed. The single-day meeting is free to all attendees. The meeting will be held at Fort Eustis' Jacobs Theater, (Bldg 647 Monroe Ave, Fort Eustis, VA 23604) with clearance processing starting at 7:00 a.m. EDT on 29 October 2014. The first briefing will start promptly at 8:00 a.m. EDT. AATD reserves the right to cap attendance based on seating availability. The meeting is scheduled to end at 5:30 p.m. EDT. NO PROCUREMENT INTENDED: This meeting is conducted for the purpose of providing information to Government personnel as well as facilitating market research IAW FAR part 10 by informing industry personnel about the current operational environment and future planning of aerial systems. This meeting in no way, expressed or implied, obligates the U.S. Army to purchase, rent, or otherwise acquire items or services. To register for the meeting, send clearance information through JPAS Code: W1DFAA; POC: HELMOT. (Please note: only the word quote mark HELMOT quote mark should be entered in the POC block as this permits tracking of registrants within the system.)
