Description
This work includes removal, cleaning, concrete coating and lining repair, painting, and reinstallation of one approximately 50 foot long, water submerged section of the existing 24 inch (29 inch outside diameter) Concrete Cylinder Pipe (CCP) with pipe joint, pipe joint restraints, painted steel wide flange support beam and two saddle supports, cleaning and reinstalling existing point stress reduction plate and saddle support, cleaning two existing lower wide flange support beams (submerged), repair existing support bracing, and clean existing pile supports. The proposed air venting work includes tapping existing 24 inch, 14 inch and 12 inch, on-shore cement mortar lined steel pipes as well as providing open vents for each tapped pipe with pipe supports for the purpose of preventing air from being trapped in the piping with the elevation of changes. Place of Performance is at the Little Goose Dam Juvenile Fish Facility located near Dayton, Washington, Columbia County. The contract requires completion of all on-site work of the discharge pipe at the Juvenile Fish Facility within a fixed outage, between the dates of 05 January 2015 and 15 March 2015. All on-site work shall be performed in accordance with the Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual (EM 385-1-1). Solicitation Number W912EF-15-B-0001 will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website on or about mid to late October. A site visit will be offered approximately 2 weeks after the solicitation is posted. Refer to the solicitation for details regarding the site visit. The bid opening date will be contained in the solicitation and any solicitation amendments that may be issued. Construction magnitude is estimated to be between $250,000 and $500,000. A bid bond is required in the amount of 20 percent of the total bid price. Performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price are required. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The small business size standard is $36,500,000 in average annual receipts. This project is set aside 100 percent for small business concerns.
