Description

The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with Biosense Webster to provide and deliver consumables for a Carto 3 Electrophysiology Mapping system which the VA currently owns. This 3D cardiac mapping system uses an electromagnetic field for mapping the cardiac anatomy and localization of the catheters being used. The consumables and disposables required include catheters and cables which are used to map patient's cardiac anatomy, track catheters being used in real time, and map internal temperatures, and must be compatible with the currently owned system. This announcement is for products the VA intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source IAW FAR Part 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available; however, any firm that believes it can meet and exceed the requirements above may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by 10:00 AM (EST) Monday September 29th, 2014. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, GLAC, 115 S. 84th St., Suite 101, Milwaukee WI 53214-1476 or via email to daniel.rasmussen@va.gov. TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Responses received will be evaluated; however apart from the responses received from this notice, a determination by the VA not to compete the proposed procurement is solely within the VA's discretion. If no responses are received, the GLAC will then proceed with the sole source negotiation with Biosense Webster.
