Description

Install Supplemental Speakers and Emergency Notification System 1. Purpose: The Office of the Director, Facilities Management, is responsible for this project, which is to acquire and install 23 Valcom Ceiling Speakers and one Valcom wall Speakers. Eligibility Divisions located at the VA Health Eligibility Center (HEC), 2957 Clairmont Rd, NE, Atlanta, GA. 30329 2. Background: The HEC has approximately 258 employees that require access to its facility for the purpose of performing work-related duties. The HEC also accesses and maintains Federal Tax Information (FTI) as part of its day to day operations and the protection of this media is also required 3. Objective: Install Supplemental and Emergency Notification System 4. Scope of Work: The contractor shall acquire and install the required number of supplemental and emergency speakers as specified in this SOW. 5. Mandatory Tasks and Deliverables. The contractor shall acquire and install 23 Valcom Ceiling Speakers and one Valcom Wall Speaker in locations as specified by the VA. Contractor shall also install Category 3 cable to connect new speakers to the closest existing speaker, and provide and install a pathway for the new ceiling speakers. Finally, the contractor shall test new speakers and provide documentation. 5.1. Task One. The contractor shall acquire and install speakers. Deliverable 5.1.1. Contractor shall acquire and install 23 Valcom Ceiling Speakers and one Valcom Wall Speaker in locations specified by the VA. 5.2. Task Two. Contractor shall install Category 3 cable to connect speakers. Deliverable 5.2.1. Contractor shall install Category 3 cable to connect new speakers to the closest existing speaker. 5.3. Task Three. Contractor shall provide and install pathway. Deliverable 5.3.1. Contractor shall provide and install pathway for new speakers. 5.4. Task Four. Contractor shall test new speakers. Deliverable 5.4.1. Contractor shall test new speakers and provide all documentation regarding its operation. 5.5. Schedule for Mandatory Deliverables 5.5.1. Table of Base Period Mandatory Deliverables Due Date NUMBER DELIVERABLE DUE DATE 5.1.1.Contractor shall acquire and install 23 Valcom Ceiling Speakers and one Valcom Wall Speaker in locations specified by the VA. Three weeks from date of award 5.2.1.Contractor shall install Category 3 cable to connect new speakers to the closest existing speaker. Three weeks from date of award 5.3.1.Contractor shall provide and install pathway for new speakers. Three weeks from date of award 5.4.1.Contractor shall test new speakers and provide all documentation regarding its operation.Three weeks from date of award 6. Period of Performance: The period of performance is approximately two weeks starting not later than three weeks after award of the contract. Work at the government site shall not take place on Federal holidays or weekends unless directed by the Contracting Officer (CO). There are ten (10) Federal holidays set by law (U.S.C. Title 5 Section 6103): Under current definitions, four are set by date: New Year's DayJanuary 1 Independence DayJuly 4 Veteran's DayNovember 11 Christmas DayDecember 25 If any of the above falls on a Saturday, then Friday shall be observed as a holiday. Similarly, if one falls on a Sunday, then Monday shall be observed as a holiday. The other six are set by a day of the week and month: Martin Luther King DayThird Monday in January Washington's BirthdayThird Monday in February Memorial DayLast Monday in May Labor DayFirst Monday in September Columbus DaySecond Monday in October ThanksgivingFourth Thursday in November 7. Place of Performance: The work will take place at the HEC Facility located at 2957 Clairmont Road, Atlanta, GA 30329-1647. 8. Type of Contract: Firm Fixed-Priced. 9.Changes to the SOW. Any changes to this SOW shall be authorized and approved only through written correspondence from the Contracting Officer. Costs incurred by the contractor through the actions of parties other than the Contracting Officer shall be borne by the contractor.
