- Description
- It is the intent of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to enter into a sole source procurement with Library of Congress for the Cooperative Acquisitions Program (CAP), under which the Library of Congress acquires foreign publications and research materials, under authority of Far Part 6.302. Library of Congress is the only known source capable of providing the required supplies and services. This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 12 - Acquisition for Commercial Items and will be made pursuant to the authority in FAR Part 13 to use simplified acquisition procedures for commercial acquisitions. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 511130 and the business size standard is 500. This is not a solicitation for competitive quotations, nor is a RFQ available. However, if any other interested party believes that it can meet the requirement it may submit a statement of capabilities. The capability statement and any other information furnished must be in writing, and must contain material in sufficient detail to all NLM to determine if the party can meet all of the foregoing requirements. Quotations must be accompanied by descriptive literature, warranties, and/or other information that demonstrates that the vendor is capable of successfully performing the requirement. Capability statements and related materials must be received in this office by 1:00 pm local prevailing time on September 25, 2014 via e-mail to vus@mail.nih.gov ATTN: Suet Vu.
