- Air Force Central (AFCENT) is seeking sponsorship to provide funding for a Veterans Day Honor Run at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. Veterans Day "A holiday honoring armed service veterans" was originally started in 1919 to honor those who served in one of the major hostilities of World War I, which ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. It ended with the German signing the Armistice. "Tribute to armed service veterans" has been an overwhelming success during past offerings throughout Southwest Asia. We expect an increased level of participation for this upcoming event. This is a perfect event to let our military men and women know you care and are thinking about them as they serve our country in a remote part of the world. Participation is expected to be 175+. ( 175 shirts) are the items needed to help support this event. Your sponsorship will make a huge impact on those serving. Sponsorship recognition CAN include company logo on event t-shirts and mention on all advertisements. This is a solicitation for commercial sponsorship by a nonappropriated fund instrumentality of the US Government. It does not obligate appropriated funds of the government.
