Description
1. road-towable, can be relocated as desired 2. Will not integrate into existing system; will use stand-alone control system 3. Central control unit will be permanently installed in control center 4. Mobile power is required, i.e. solar-powered rechargeable battery or generator (diesel preferred), cost-dependent 5. Preferred, but not required, internal generated power will suffice...refer to #4 6. Ktr will set-up, and demonstrate/train user...(this can be chopped if funds do not cover lowest bid) 7. Ktr should brief user on use and proper mx...nothing extensive, just the basics. User manual should be included. -- We are not concerned with the red light, but it sounds like that will be sufficient, considering the area is actually near the CRG LZ it is an added bonus. -- The MSA's are to cover the areas depicted in the drawing, which is about 3/4 of the south runway of NW Field. Not sure if line of sight is achievable. If the antennae go to 38', my assumption is the jungle surrounding will be taller. Do these antennae operate through jungle? There are no major structures blocking the line of sight. I believe we could make them work. Maybe at some point a platform could be built to park the MSA on and raise it to a point where signal is achieved. -- We can probably get a comm fr person to program them, but would rather the contractor do it to be on the safe side. We prefer the contractor provide a programmer to train the user on use and to program it. Of course, if the bid comes in too high, that will be the first thing to go.
