- Description
- The following questions have been submitted (company names have been removed) QUESTION: Company A intends on responding to the Solicitation Number FA8620-14-R-ARMED208B for Sole Sources Sought for the Armed Cessna C208 aircraft. In meetings, within our company a discussion came up in that on previous projects of this type wherein Company A was both a Prime Vendor as well as a Sub-contractor for other Primes, some and or all of the equipment requested to be installed was government supplied. Is that the intention on this project as well? If the equipment is to be furnished by the vendor do you have a preferred make and model listing of the equipment proposed to be installed. Only the sensor (MX15) was listed in the posting. Additionally there were questions as to what armament was to be installed if any (considerations for hard points and targeting modules will need to be sorted out). I know this is a fairly general, initial SSS but we want to ensure that we are bidding correctly or stand aside and perhaps act as a sub-contractor. Please advise. ANSWER: AFLCMC/WINI is looking for viable contractors who can deliver a desired solution per the outlined Key System Attributes. The exact configuration of the fielded system is not a requirement in the SSS responses, only how the Key Systems Attributes will be met through a contractor specific solution. This includes what weapons will interface with the proposed solution. Any limitations such as component procurement limitations should be addressed in the challenges and considerations of the response as listed in item nine of the white paper template.
