Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Technical Operations Services (Tech Ops) is responsible for a broad range of activities, including but not limited to preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, maintenance logging, overhaul of the National Airspace System (NAS) equipment, certification of NAS systems, and flight inspections. Currently, Tech Ops has many individual tools that are used to perform the above activities and stand-alone systems and databases that do not share data. The goal of Tech Ops is to implement a comprehensive tool that can perform maintenance logging, scheduling, coordination and logistics functions in an effort to streamline current processes for field technicians and improve data-driven decision making related to NAS safety, sustainability, supportability, and resource management. Therefore, the FAA is conducting this Request for Information to seek potential sources capable of meeting the needs identified in Attachment A: Preliminary Capability Requirements. Any vendor that believes it can provide three or more of the six Capability Requirements areas listed in Attachment A is invited to submit a Capability Statement (in contractor format) addressing its abilities to meet the requirements in Attachment A: Preliminary Capability Requirements. All responses (one per company) are to be provided on company letterhead and limited to a total of 10 typewritten pages. No type font less than 11 point may be used. Responses to this market survey will assist the FAA in further defining its requirements and developing an acquisition strategy for the requirements identified herein. At this time the nature of any subsequent solicitation has not been determined nor has a Principal North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) size standard code been decided at this time. The FAA requires the additional documentation listed below from interested service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and from eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) 8(a) Program.
