Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. A tactical dry suit system is required in order to comply with overwater flight equipment requirements per AR 95-1. Quantity Required: 450 Extra Small - 5 Small - 45 Medium - 200 Large - 130 Extra Large - 50 Extra, Extra Large - 20 Characteristics Outer Shell Module: Must be fabricated out of a waterproof breathable fabric (MIL-DTL-32149) Must be Sage Green in color Must be reinforced in knees and seat area to increased abrasion resistance Neck opening shall allow the user to easily vent the suit to reduce thermal burden and quickly close with one hand to make it watertight Neck seal must maintain watertight integrity using a universally-sized adjustable neck seal Sleeve openings must maintain watertight integrity during wear Universally sized waterproof socks must be included or built into outer shell Suit entry/relief zippers (for entering and exiting the suit) must be waterproof Suit must include at least 7 pockets (2 on the arms, 2 on the chest, 2 on the calf, and at least 1 on the thigh) Suit must meet the requirements for Anti-exposure Capability listed under the Water Survival Capabilities specified in the US Army Air Warrior Operational Requirements Document Suit must be flame resistant when tested in accordance with ASTM F1930-00
