Description
THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to negotiate with Netherlands Forensic Institute Laan van Ypenburg 2497 GB The Hague P.O. Box 24044, 2490 AA The Hague for a Memory Tool Kit II,on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a single source. CBP Laboratory and Scientific Services in Springfield, VA, has a requirement for the procurement and instruction for a Memory Toolkit II. The Memory Toolkit II is the only kit that will support forensic removal, acquisition, and analysis of many different types of memory chips. This solution is considered the best comprehensive solutions in the forensic marketplace for law enforcement chip-off forensic exams. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334516 and the size standard is 500 employees. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate directly with Netherlands Forensic Institute. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice is not a request for competitive proposal. It is anticipated that the order will be awarded to Netherlands Forensic Institute on or about September 23, 2014. If any interested person believes it can meet the above requirement, they may identify their interest and capability via e-mail. The capability statement must include sufficient detail to allow the Government to determine if the party can perform the requirement. All responses may be e-mailed to Dione.Shelton@cbp.dhs.gov. Verification of receipt of response is the sole responsibility of the interested person. A determination by the Government to compete this requirement based on any responses received is solely at the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no responsive statements are received by September 22, 2014 at 12:00pm EDT, an award will be made to Netherland Forensic Institute.
