Description

This is a notice of a proposed contract action published for notification that the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN, intends to issue a sole source award to the Research Triangle Institute for certification of the Forensic Toxicology Laboraty to continue to perform workplace drug testing for the Veteran Administration Medical Centers in the United States. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Numbered Note 22 applies. Therefore, this sole source award is being made pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other company will satisfy agency requirements. The VAMC intends to award a firm fixed price contract with an estimated value of $170,000. The contract will include a twelve (12) month performance plus four option year (12) month periods.
