- This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institute of Health, Clinical Center (CC) intends to award a Fixed Price purchase order to Scanlan International, Inc, St. Paul, MN 55107-1639 on a sole source basis to procure VATS instruments in order to perform minimal invasive surgery for lung cancer patients located at the National Institutes of Health's Clinical Center, Department of Perioperative Medicine. Scanlan International, Inc is the proprietor, designer and manufacturer of the VATS instruments in question. There are only two companies that provide Thoracoscopic instruments and Scanlan International, Inc provides a larger array of surgeon specific instruments than their counterpart. No other company can provide the wide range of instruments or the quality that Scanlan International, Inc. provides.
