Description
The eXploit Program and other National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) initiatives will deliver new capabilities that will enable the retirement of many National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) legacy exploitation systems. However, it will be necessary to sustain those legacy systems until the new capabilities are operational and have demonstrated readiness for legacy system retirement. The objective is to: a) Consolidate multiple sustainment contracts in order to reduce programmatic complexity within the Agency. b) Off-load-capabilities from legacy systems that have reached or surpassed end-of-life (EOL) in order to transition users into the new architecture. It is envisioned that this approach should include the sustainment of legacy capabilities until the future disposition to new services is produced, a path to retirement of legacy programs is identified, and a process for validation and approach of capability migration is created. The legacy capabilities to be considered for this assessment are those which would be a part of the Exploitation Services Integrated Product Team (IPT). These systems provide the current suite of exploitation tools and services, and include components from Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), Government off-the-shelf (GOTS), and Free Open Source Software (FOSS). The entire Requst for Information can be viewed via the CLASSIFIED IC-ARC (Intelligence Community - Acquisition Research Center) Website at URL: https://acq.nro.ic.gov/ for "NGA - ELS..." (NGA - Exploitation Legacy Sustainment).
