Description
This is a Sources Sought announcement only seeking 100% Small Business responses in order to determine Small Business participation in the acquisition. The 7th Contracting Squadron (7 CONS) intends to procure 4 Tactical Atmospheric Sounding Kits (TASK) and 130 TASK Radiosondes or equal systems. The TASK system includes: 1. TASK Radiosondes (4 EA). Measures wind speed, wind direction, pressure, temperature,and humidity. Weight of 38 grams or less. Dimensions 12 X 3.5 X 3.5 cm. 2. TASK USB Transceiver (1 EA). Band: 400-406 MHz (UHF MET Band). Single channel. Weight of 53 grams or less. USB interface and Retransmission capability. 3. Balloon Inflation Tank/Nozzle (1 EA). 15 cubic FT. @ 4500 psi (2 X 30 gram balloon launches). 4. Tactical Carrying Case. 5. Total weight of system less than 5 pounds. Additionally 130 more TASK Radiosondes are requested. Your response shall include the following information: • Size of company (i.e., 8(a), HUBZONE, WOSB, Veteran Owned, Small Disadvantaged Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, etc.), • Relevant past performance on same/similar work dating back to the last five years and your company's capability to do this type of work. Documentation of technical expertise and capability must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. It is imperative that business concerns responding to this sources sought articulate their capabilities clearly and adequately. IF A SOLICITATION IS ISSUED IT WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT A LATER DATE, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. No contract will be awarded as a result of this announcement and No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement.
