Description

Intent to Sole Source United Postal Service (UPS) Requirement (508-15-1-2043-0013) The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 7 Network Contracting Activity, intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract with United Parcel Service Inc., 316 Pennsylvania Avenue SE STE 300, Washington DC 20003-1173 for Mailing Services. Location is the Atlanta VA Medical Health Care System 1670 Clairmont Rd., Decatur, Georgia. NAICS 517919 applies. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is VA Directive 6609 Transmittal Sheet: Mailing of Sensitive Personal Information: Dated May 20, 2011. The Atlanta VA Medical Center and only United Parcel Service services can fulfill this requirement. No other company is expected to respond to the requirement. United Parcel Service is the sole proprietary manufacturer and does not use distributors or sub-license any portion of the product. Period of Performance shall be from 01 October 2014 - 30 September 2015. No solicitation package is available. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government.
