Description

Intent to Sole Source Federal Express (Fed-Ex) Requirement (508-15-1-456-0002) The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 7 Network Contracting Activity, intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract with federal Express Corps. Government Sales 900 7th Street NW. Suite 550, Washington DC 20001-3888 for Lab sample Mailing Services. Location is the Atlanta VA Medical Health Care System 1670 Clairmont Rd., Decatur, Georgia. NAICS 517919 applies. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is VA Directive 7179 Transmittal Sheet: MANDATORY USE OF THE FEDERAL STRATEGIC SOURCING INITIATIVE FOR DOMESTIC DELIVERY SERVICES FOR EXPRESS AND GROUND SMALL PACKAGE SHIPMENTS AND EXPRESS HEAVYWEIGHT SHIPMENTS: Dated April 21, 2011. The Atlanta VA Medical Center can only use Federal Express services to fulfill this requirement. No other company is expected to respond to the requirement. Federal Express is the sole proprietary manufacturer and does not use distributors or sub-license any portion of the product. Period of Performance shall be from 1 November 2014 - 31 October 2015. No solicitation package is available. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government.
