The North American Industry Classification System Code is 334516 and the business size standard is 500 Employees. Only one award will be made as a result of this solicitation. This immunohistochemistry stainer will be used to process research and clinical specimens to detect proteins in human and animal kidney and other tissues to identify potential disease biomarkers and further understand the mechanism of kidney disease development and progression. Currently in development are antibody-based assays aimed toward detection of a large set of proteins in healthy and diseased tissues. A key aspect is to control the staining process to minimize sample-to-sample variations. Further, to include expensive non-clinical research antibodies it is a necessity to work with small reagent volumes. The Montage 360 IHC can operate with as little as 500ul of reagent per sample and is thus instrumental to the success for said projects. This system is only available through Medical Equipment Source, LLC (see attached for additional information). This is not a solicitation for competitive quotations. However, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, they may submit a statement of capabilities. All information furnished must be in writing and must contain sufficient detail to allow the NIDDK to determine if it can meet the above unique specifications described herein.
