Description
THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to contract using other than full and open competition for the following: a Crown Model ST3000-25- TL 128 Walkie Stacker Lift Truck with 128" of lift height and 2500-lbs For the proposed contract action the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only the following designated source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Crown Equipment Corporation being the Bureau of Engraving and Printing's purpose for purchasing this item is due to the need of being able to safely move and handle large format 50 subject sheets of currency. These benefits allow the Bureau to achieve its' mission of printing U.S. Currency that meets the standards of its customer, the Federal Reserve, in a safer and more efficient manner. The Series ST-3000-25 Stacker is a proprietary item that is solely manufactured by Crown Equipment Corporation. This product has previously been determined to meet BEP's specifications. Crown Equipment Corp. is the Manufacturer of the ST3000-25 TL 128 Walkie Stacker Lift Truck with 128" of lift height and 2500-lbs. base capacity. Accordingly, the BEP intends to award a contract to: Crown Equipment Corporation, New Bremen, Ohio 45869. Crown Equipment Corporation, owns the proprietary design of the stacker lift truck. This notice of intent is not a request for offers. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice, if any, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit documentation that clearly demonstrates their capability. Responses to this notice shall be received no later than 4:00 pm EST, Thursday, September 25, 2014. All responses must be in writing and are to be sent via email to the point of contact specified in this notice. Any cost associated with the preparation and submission of data or information or any other costs incurred in responding to this notice is the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
