- Slides for the Industry Day (subject to change) Background information for the Range Support Aircraft Telemetry mission SUBJECT: Industry Day for the Range Support Aircraft (RSA) to identify qualified and experienced industry providers of airborne telemetry systems and related mission systems such as flight termination, data links and communication relays, and for the integration of those systems to FAA standards into a commercial aircraft such as the Gulfstream G550 Conformal Airborne Early Warning (CAEW) 1. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), PMA-207 is hosting an Industry Day to introduce the aerospace community of anticipated telemetry development and integration requirements. At this event, the Government will present its anticipated acquisition strategy and other pertinent program information. This is a public event held by the U.S. Navy to promote open communication between the government and industry. It also allows industry companies to network and identify teaming partners. Depending on Industry response, a limit may be placed on the number of attendees per company. Day one of the conference will take place at TBD and Day 2 will be at the Historical Archive Center at Point Mugu, Building 112, Point Mugu CA. 93042 (directions provided upon request). The attached documents are for informational purposes only and the Government is not requiring any document submissions prior to the industry days. The planned agenda is as follows: Day 1: Hotel TBD (will be updated on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website ASAP) 0800-0830: Sign In, Meet and Greet 0830-0930: Presentation of requirements by the Navy 0930-1130: Q&A session 1130-1300: Lunch 1300-1600: Gov't/Industry Meetings Day 2: Naval Base Ventura County, Pt. Mugu, CA 0800-1600: Gov't/Industry Meetings 2. This event will include overview presentations by the Navy of the anticipated requirements and an opportunity by industry to interact and ask questions to government personnel in an open forum. Answers to all questions will be compiled and provided to all via FBO. Companies possessing the technical capability, financial wherewithal, facilities, equipment and personnel resources, along with relevant experience/past performance to perform the type of work specified above are invited to attend the Industry Day per the instructions below or submit an "Abstract response" based on the procedures below to the TPOC listed below. 4. ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS: As part of the Industry Day, the RSA team will conduct separate thirty (30) minute, unclassified one-on-one sessions on TBD (tentatively planned for 21 & 22 October 2014). Firm dates will be updated on FBO ASAP. The one-on-one sessions will be limited to four personnel per company. Interested parties must request a one-on-one session at the time of RSVP. Contractors will be notified with a time slot. Please come prepared to discuss topic(s) you deem pertinent to this acquisition. 5. The Government is seeking companies with NAICS code 541330, Engineering Services ($38.5M size standard). Please state if your company is large or small business for the NAICS code listed. If small, also state whether the company has a special status Such as, small disadvantaged, 8(a) small business, woman-owned small business, economically-disadvantaged woman-owned small business, veteran-owned small business, service disabled veteran-owned small business or HUB Zone small business for the NAICS code listed. Applicable Product/Service Codes for this event are K016- Modification of Equipment - Aircraft Components and Accessories and N015 - Installation of Equipment - Aircraft Components and Accessories. After Industry Day, capability statements will be requested from interested parties for the purpose of a making a determination to set this requirement aside for small business. 6. This announcement is not a solicitation but is for information and planning purposes only. This announcement does not constitute an invitation for Bid or a Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not reimburse any costs associated with attending the Industry Day event or providing any information associated with this announcement. 7. Interested parties must RSVP no later than 2359 (EST) on Friday, 10 October 2014.
