Description

Nature and/or Description of the Action Being Processed: A firm fixed-price contract to be awarded on a sole-source basis for the annual inspection, service maintenance, and testing of the three (3) Biomerieux, Inc. lab equipment units located at the VA Medical Centers at either/or the Ft. Meade, SD and Hot Springs, SD laboratories. The three (3) units include: the BacT/Alert 3D @ Fort Meade; the Vitek 2 Compact 30 W/PC, 1 @ Fort Meade and 1 @ Hot Springs. These services are provided by the Original Equipment Manufacturer who provides FDA-approved parts and software which are proprietary in nature. These FDA-approved, proprietary parts and software are not available through other sources.
