- Strategic Plan for Defense Wide Procurement Capabilities (v2.0, August 8, 2014) Questions for Industry This Sources Sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a Solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. This is strictly market research and the Government will not entertain questions concerning this market research. The Program Development and Implementation (PDI) office is a component of the Defense Procurement and Acquisition Policy (DPAP) office under the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (AT&L). DPAP/PDI is seeking industry knowledge and insight on either a commercially available off-the-shelf (COTS) or a Government off-the-shelf (GOTS) solution for a Business Process Management Suite to support the DoD procurement environment. Further background on the DoD procurement environment is available on the Strategic Plan for Defense Wide Procurement Capabilities (v2.0, August 8, 2014) attached to this notice. The information from this market research is for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy which may result in the release of a full and open competition. In order to make this determination, DPAP/PDI is requesting interested industry partners help the Government understand Business Process Management Suite solutions that are available today for utilization. DPAP/PDI will also be hosting Industry Days through the following sequence of events: 1. DPAP/PDI will host an Industry Day on 19 September, 2014 at 2000 Corporate Ridge McLean, Virginia 22102 from 10:00 AM EDT to 1:00 PM EDT. The Government will be utilizing this time to present to industry its vision of the future Business Process Management Suite capabilities and features. Please RSVP to Ms. Emily Prohaska at emily.a.prohaska.civ@mail.mil no later than Tuesday, September 16, 2014. 2. Responses to the attached list of questions are due no later than 2:00 p.m. EDT, Friday, 26 September 2014, and shall be electronically submitted to Ms. Emily Prohaska at emily.a.prohaska.civ@mail.mil. 3. DPAP/PDI will host a second Industry Day in mid to late October 2014 for Industry to give a solution based presentation to the Government that does not exceed 30 minutes based on the September 19 presentation and the questions provided in the attached document. Additional details and RSVP information will be provided in an amendment to this notice after 19 September. Also, prepare for a 15 minute Question & Answer (Q&A) session with Government and bring a laptop with AV connections to present. Responses and participation is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information or participating in these activities.
