- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. The United States Department of the Interior (DOI), Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Pacific Region Office (PRO), Sacramento, CA, intends to award a Sole Source contract to Herman Miller Furniture c/o GM Business Interiors for various Office Furniture for our Southern CA Agency located in Riverside, CA. Herman Miller is the manufacturer/distributor and the only source for a follow-on contract for equipment and supplies in the County of Riverside where the Agency is located. GM Business Interiors is the sole authorized dealer in the County of Riverside for Herman Miller. This requirement must be completed by a Herman Miller vendor or else the warranty on existing Herman Miller products that will be worked on during this requirement will become void and null. All product is expected to be received and installed by November 30, 2014. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 337214 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. Authority cited: Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for quotation. No solicitation document is available and telephone or fax requests will not be honored; only mail and email. All responses by the due date will be considered by the Government. However, no contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 2:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, September 11, 2014. All contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be considered for an award of a federal contract. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be considered for the purpose of determining whether the government will conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
