Description
The Mission & Installation Contracting Command-Fort Drum intends on procuring the service of providing family life skills education programs for military personnel and families, Department of Defense (DOD) civilians, retires and family members, and reserve components at Fort Drum, NY on a sole source basis to Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County. Some of the services include but are not limited to: services for volunteering on Fort Drum; informational and referral with ongoing specialized services; Army Emergency Relief (AER) services focusing on providing zero interest loans and/or grants, and training of command representatives on the use of the Command Referral Program; Financial Readiness Services focused on improving the soldier's personal finance status and their abilities to perform as informed consumers; deployment cycle support classes and training focused on supporting deploying units by providing tailored deployment cycle support to help insure the knowledge of resources available to maintain individual readiness during war and peace times; employment readiness services focusing on adaptation to Northern New York; relocation services; family advocacy education and prevention support by providing a variety of general and secondary parenting prevention programs to promote awareness and understanding of the problems of parenting, the nature of family advocacy programs, child neglect/abuse prevention, and the various approaches to parenting, prevention, and treatment of child abuse and neglect. Interested parties may identify their interest in, and capability to respond to future requirements of this nature by submitting documentation indicating their capabilities and qualifications to the identified point of contact no later than 19 September 2014.
