This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals (RFP) or request for quotes (RFQ) and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their SBA size classification in relation to NAICS 811219. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Responses to this notice shall be in writing and include the following: a)Company name b)Address c)Point of contact d)Phone, fax, and email e)DUNS number f)Cage Code g)Tax ID Number h)Type of small business, e.g. Services Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), 8(a), HUBZone, Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), Small Disadvantaged Business, or Small Business i)Must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described below j)Provide any certifications and/or licenses, test/calibration equipment, and evidence of the ability of obtaining original equipment manufacturer parts After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published to www.FBO.gov. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offeror(s) will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22, is seeking sources to provide turnkey solution for scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and repair services, operating system support to include telephone and online support, and hardware and applications software support coverage and software updates for the Government-owned GE Mac-Lab (Assurepoint Standard System), see attached equipment inventory list. The intended contract will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract with a base year and four (4) option years. The period of performance is estimated to begin on or about October 1, 2014. The place of performance is as follows: Department of Veterans Affairs VA San Diego Healthcare System 3350 La Jolla Village Drive San Diego, CA 92161 Responses to this notice shall be emailed to the attention of Tue M. Tran at tue.tran@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than September 8, 2014, 4:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST), Important information: The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued.
