Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of interested sources especially small businesses including: 8(a) Certified Small Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB-Zone) Small Business, Women Owned Small Business, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), and Veteran Owned Small Business. NO PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED OR ACCEPTED WITH THIS SYNOPSIS. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. Respondents will NOT be notified of the results of this synopsis. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requested. Interested PRIME CONTRACTORS are invited to submit a capabilities statement/narrative demonstrating the firm's experience in construction/maintenance projects of a similar nature as described below. The submittal shall be no longer than ten (10) pages and shall include the following information: 1. Business name, 2. Business address, 3. Business phone number, 4. Business size, 5. Social economic status, 6. Business capability, 7. List of 4 or more similar projects completed within the last 3 years (to include project dollar value), 8. Licenses held (in reference to the tasks in this requirement), 9. List of representative agreements, 10. Certifications held (in reference to the tasks in this requirement), 11. A list of qualified technicians who will perform the work and 12. Familiarization with working on an Indian Reservation. Description/Scope of Work: The Department of Health and Human Services/Indian Health Service (IHS) anticipates an acquisition for the following requirement: (Magnitude between $500,000 and $1,000,000.) I.PROJECT OBJECTIVE: The objective of this project is to provide network equipment and services, to include LAN, WLAN, CUCM, and IP paging for a new medical facility on an Indian Reservation in Arizona. A new MDF with mission critical power and cooling will be established for the entire campus as part of this project to include a new Hot Aisle Containment Unit within Room IM-007 at the new facility. The existing network will be upgraded to two(2) 10Gb links to the newly established core in the new facility. All pertinent existing equipment from the existing Main Hospital MDF will be relocated to the new Hot Aisle Containment unit in room IM-007. Duration: 365 days Codes and Standards. The Contractor shall adhere to the following code requirements for work performed, including testing and inspection: 1. NFPA 70 National Electric Code 2. IEEE Standards 3. BICSI International Standards 4. International Building Code 5. Occupational Safety and Health Act - CFR1926 II. BACKGROUND: The new facility (by others) will be a 22,000 square feet single story masonry building, slab on grade and elevated slabs, with steel roof structure. The ground floor of the facility will house the MDF and the electrical/mechanical room. The General Contractor (GC) building the new facility, hereafter referred to as the GC, will provide new conduits from the new MDF in Room IM-007 to the Main Hospital, and several other structures. The IT/Data Contractor, hereafter referred to as Contractor, shall install the fiber optic cabling, as well as provide a pathway to the power plant through the Main Hospital using an existing tunnel system from Main Hospital to power plant. The Contractor will also be responsible to provide pathways from the building entrance J-Boxes provided to the building's MDF/IDF. III. PROJECT DELIVERABLES The scope of services required encompasses: Wireless Survey, Cisco Local Area Network (LAN) Upgrade, Cisco Unified Communications Upgrade, Fiber Optics, Backbone Copper Cabling, Horizontal Copper Cabling, Paging, UPS and Environmental Control Hot Aisle Containment, and MDF Data Center Server Room.
