Description

This is a Justification and Approval (J&A) limiting competition for the Cost per Test Integrated Chemistry Analyzer modification to extend services. This is a Justification and Approval (J&A) limiting competition for the Cost per Test Integrated Chemistry Analyzer modification to extend services. This extension is required to support the Chemistry section of the laboratory, including all associated supplies and reagents to conduct laboratory testing during the recompete of contract FA4800-12-F-0041. The new contract will be competed on GSA for full and open competition. Ensuring adequate small business competition for the recompete contract has led to an extended procurement time. Pursuant to FAR 6.302 (a)(2)(iii)(B) the requirement is only available from the original source to prevent unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. Competition must be limited because there is only one responsible source that will not result in unacceptable delays. The Integrated Chemistry Analyzer account 75% of the hospitals workload and a delay in service will severely impact 633 MDSS/SGSL mission and agency requirements.
