Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. DESCRIPTION: The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) has a requirement for the following: Contractor shall provide the equipment, installation, operating and service manuals, technical personnel, maintenance and other necessary equipment and services needed to complete to fulfill the minimum essential characteristics for 2 Bone Densitometers. Minimum Essential Characteristics: Specifications for Bone Densitometers for the Military Nutrition Division include: 1.Bone densitometer which uses narrow-angle fan beam technology with 64-channel detector direct-digital HD detector with staggered array for optimal image quality to measure bone mineral density (BMD). 2.Five minute or shorter lateral vertebral assessment (LVA). 3.Body Composition software that not only measures the quantity of body fat but also its distribution 4.Software that automatically labels deformations, filter enhances images by reducing soft tissue noise and improving bone edge detail. 5.Software that measures regions that are beyond the width of the scan window and provides estimates based on information within the scan window. 6.Software to quantify Visceral Fat. 7.Bone densitometer with low x-ray dose to reduce radiation exposure. 8.Small animal total body software (for one of bone densitometers). 9.Software to alert technician of improper positioning, unusual anatomy, high density areas and artifacts, and provides suggestions for correction. 10.Quality assurance software independent of any patient measurement. 11.Software to meet HIPAA standards of confidentiality of patient information. 12.Meet ISCD precision standards. 13.Capable of remote service. 14.Capacity to support patients weights up to 450 lbs. 15.Uninterruptible power supply 120V, 50/60Hz,1500VA. 16.Table size 287 cm x 131 cm x 125 cm (L x W x H) maximum. 17.PC Requirements minimums: Intel processor-2.8 GHz Pentium 4, Scanner communications-dedicated onboard 10/100 Mbit Ethernet, RAM-2 GB, Video-SVGA (1024x768 24/32 color), Hard drive-160 GB, Optical drive-DVD-R, Archive-320GB hard drive, Windows7. 18.Monitor - widescreen LCD 20 quote mark. 19.Minimum of 1-day on-site application training 20.Mobile computer cart to hold printer, computer, and external hard drive. This solicitation will be a 100% small business set aside under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334510 (size standard 500 employees). All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments and all questions and answers relating to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at https://www.fedbizopps.gov. This is a reposting of solicitation W81XWH-14-T-0389 to satsify the 30 day posting requirement. Any quote previously received must be re-submitted in order to be eligible for award. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. To be eligible for an award, all contractors wishing to do business with the Department of Defense must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/.
