The Federal Aviation Administration, Northwest Mountain Region, Western Service Area, is conducting a Market Survey/Request for Information to improve the Government's understanding of the current marketplace and to identify capable sources. Responses to this market survey will be used to determine if there is adequate competition to set the requirement aside for Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (SEDB/8(a)), Small Businesses, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), etc. This survey is being conducted in accordance with FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Section 3.2.1.2.1. This survey will support market research obtained from multiple sources and will be utilized for planning purposes only. The purpose of this Market Survey is to seek competent and qualified contractors to perform all work necessary to support the Port of Seattle rehabilitation of runways 16C-34C and 16L-34R at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) in SeaTac, Washington. The following is the summary of work: The NAICS Code for this is: 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. With a small business size standard of $36.5 million Estimated cost is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00 Construction is tentatively set for April of 2015 - Project will be spread out over two years. The work covered includes: Work to cover refurbishment and replacement work on SEA 16c ALSF, SEA 16L ALSF, SEA 34C MALSR, SEA 34R MALSR. New cables with terminations at these nav aids (Center and east SEA runways PAPIs, GS, RVR) in POS constructed duct banks. Construction of new duct banks. TRDR and electrical testing as needed to commission the facilities. The contractor is required to furnish all labor, materials (except Government furnished), services, equipment, insurance, bonds, security notifications, licenses, permits, and fees in accordance with applicable federal, state and local regulatory requirements to complete the specified work. Any miscellaneous labor, equipment and/or materials not specifically detailed or specified, but required to complete the project, shall be provided as an integral part of the work. Any information provided in response to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only and will not be released. Any proprietary information submitted will be protected if appropriately marked. Vendor participation in any informational session is not a promise of future business with the FAA. Response submittals must include the following information (Submittals by email): A) Completed Business Declaration B) List of projects of similar size and complexity for the last 3 years. C) Business size status: 8(a), Small Business, SDVOSB, etc. Include 8(a) or SDVOSB letter if applicable. Please submit responses to the market survey by September 25, 2014. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
