- Dynetics Technical Services, Inc. (DTS) is issuing a Notice of Intent to Advertise a NASA Expedite, Competitive Procurement Request for Quote (RFQ) through EMC Corporation or their authorized resellers only, with no discussion or announcement of award. This purchase is to provide increased disk capacity on EMC VNX7500 vBlock equipment. EMC holds the proprietary rights to the software and hardware and no substitutions will be acceptable. Equipment is needed to support NASA located at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). The contract is maintained by Dynetics Technical Services, Inc. under the Marshall Information Technology Services (MITS) contract. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested per the attached Request for Quotation (RFQ) and are located in the attached files. This includes the RFQ, a list detailing the descriptions of the Services (Equipment List A) and Representations and Certifications, which need to be completed and returned with your offer. Dynetics Technical Services, Inc. (DTS) Terms and Conditions will apply unless the response proposed is GSA pricing in which case DTS Reps and Certs nor Terms and Conditions will apply to this award. A New Vendor Profile is attached if no contracts have been awarded through Dynetics Technical Services, Inc. Interested vendors have three (3) days from this publication date of this Synopsis/RFQ to submit their proposal to the undersigned at the Email Address or fax number listed below. There are no exceptions or extensions to the required due date of responses. All uploaded attachments must be completed and are considered a part of the RFQ. It is the vendors responsibility to monitor this site for the release of solicitation amendments (if any). Responses received without the required information will be considered non-responsive to the Synopsis/RFQ. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this Synopsis/RFQ. There will not be an announcement of any kind regarding the award of this order. Exception to Section 508: Section 508 standards are exempt and considered "back office" equipment used only by service personnel for maintenance, repair, or similar purposes. The standards cover technology procured by Federal agencies under contract with a private entity, but apply only to those products directly relevant to the contract and its deliverables. An exception clarifies that the standards do not apply to technology that is incidental to a Federal contract. Thus, those products that are not specified as part of a contract with a Federal agency would not have to comply with the standards.
