This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT AND IS AN UPDATE TO RFI VA262-14-I-0968 AS THE REQUIREMENT HAS CHANGED 1. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research only to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified Large and Small Businesses interested and capable of performing the work. 2. The NAICS for this requirement is now 621399 Offices of All Other Miscellaneous Health Practitioners. 3. Interested Contractors should respond to this notice by September 15, 2014 by providing the following via email only to Sandra.Fusco@va.gov : (a) company name (b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone and email of primary point of contact (e) DUNS number (f) FSS Contract Number, if applicable (g) Type of small business, if applicable (e.g. Services Disabled Veteran Owned small Business, Veteran-owned small business, 8(a), HUB-Zone, Women Owned Small Business, Small disadvantaged business, or Small Business) and (h) a capability statement that addresses the organization's qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described in the paragraphs below. Responses should specifically address this requirement. 4. The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 22, on behalf of the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS) is seeking a Contractor to provide Radiation Therapists (RTs) and Certified Medical Dosimetrists (CMDs) to the VAGLAHS, 11301 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90073. The impending requirement is for approximately six (6) FTE RTs and two (2) FTE CMDs. Services are expected to begin on or about March 1, 2015. 5. Providers shall meet the following qualifications and experience and meet all other requirements identified in the impending solicitation: a. Board Certification - All contract RTs and CMDs shall be board certified. All continuing education courses required for maintaining certification must be kept up to date at all times. Documentation verifying current certification shall be submitted with proposals and provided on an annual basis for each year of contract performance. (1) Radiation Therapists. The Contractor shall provide RTs registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in the area of Radiation Oncology. Contract RTs shall maintain certification throughout the period of performance. The successful RT candidates shall also have experience in specific treatment modalities such as SRS, SRT, SBRT, IGRT, and RapidArc for various treatment sites. (2) Certified Medical Dosimetrists. The Contractor shall provide CMDs certified by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board. The successful CMD candidates shall be certified by the AAMD and have sufficient training and experiences to handle complicated treatment tasks such as IMRT, SBRT, and RapidArc for various treatment sites. 6. All Offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database found at https://www.sam.gov. Registration must include Representations and Certifications. Additionally, all Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses or Veteran Owned Businesses who respond to a solicitation on this project must be registered and verified with the Vet-Biz Registry located at http://vip.vetbiz.gov. --End of Sources Sought Announcement--
