Description
orignial solicition Ammendment Questions and Answers to help define the requirement: Questions: A 32' Smoke training trailer, is that a separate unit from the line below it were it asks for 24 ‘ of interior search & rescue training space? Is that 24 running feet length or 24 square FT of space? Where is the 4FT equipment room to be located at? It asks for (3) training levels, how high are the training levels or are they different heights? How do you access the training levels from interior or exterior, stairs or ladder? Their are safety requirements associated with ladders, stairs and handrails. Integrated smoke system, were is the system to be located? How much CFM required output for the smoke system? Is it on 3 floors or what areas require smoke? 24 sq ft is a 6 x 4 ft space. The length of the search area should be 24ft long. The storage space would be in the front of the trailer. Exterior lighting, is this lighting that is attached to the exterior of the trainer? Were is it to be located at if attached to the trainer? Is it stand alone lighting by itself separate from the trainer? How much lighting is required, how many watts of light per light? How is the lighting to be powered by generator? Is the end user supplying a generator or does it need to be part of the trainer? Answers: Access to the confined space would be through a crawl hatch on the side. A roof access is not required but would be good and would require a ladder to reach it. Each floor would be the same overall height as to be confined spaces. Variations or obstructions that would further reduce floor height are acceptable. The smoke machine would ideally be located in the storage space with smoke ejection ports for each floor and should produce enough smoke to limit visibility to 3 feet. Interior lighting should be kept to a minimum, should be able to be shut off from outside the training space only, and should be durable enough to survive the required training (IE no fluorescent). Exterior lighting should be sufficient to provide a safe working area all the way around the trailer and should be of durable build (no fluorescent lights). All scene lighting (interior/exterior) would be powered by the generator. Brake lights, turn signals, backing indicators should be powered though a standard connection. Trailer must be towed by either standard ball hitch or the attached tow kit.
