- Description
- Amendment 2. The purpose of Amendment 2 is to provide 1) answers to the Questions and Answer session, and extend the solicitation Due/Response Date to September 4, 2014, 3:00 PM. Question 1: This is a fixed price contract. On page 4 under section 5 (deliverables), it also lists the timeline. If I understand the table correctly, this project is supposed to be done within 18 calendar days, with 8 calendar days for RUEI installation, 3 for setting up FACTS application monitoring, 4 for setting up OASIS application monitoring, and 3 for knowledge transfer. In M-F working days term, this is basically a 3 working week project. Am I interpreting this correctly? Answer 1: Correct, 3 weeks dedicated for this task. The working days will be Monday through Friday during business hours approximately 8am - 4:30pm. Question 2: Whether this timeline is achieveable depends on many things. RUEI as a technology requires deep integration into the network, which requires collaboration with the networking infrastructure team. It also requires a fair amount of server infrastructure setup. Frequently, securing the resource and cooperation needed to deploy RUEI takes a fair amount of coordination and time. Answer 2: We currently have the application servers and database provisioned. The plan is to have a point of contact of each group to coordinate and synchronize efforts for the RUEI implementation. Question 3: Furthermore, the amount of time it takes to setup also depends on the complexity of your monitored applications, which are FACTS and OASIS in this case. The technical requirements, and the robustness of the RUEI setup (do you need high availability?) also affects the schedule. The SOW mentioned the two applications briefly, but a bit more info is really needed to provide an estimate for this project. Answer 3: FACTS and OASIS are Oracle Forms internal legacy applications. Users are mostly field staff accessing the application across the country. Answer 4: Is there someone that I can talk to in order to learn more about the apps and other key technical issues? Answer 4: Questions asked through the Contracting Office and answers are release to all Quoters. End of Amendment
