- amended solicitation package for AG-32SD-S-14-0057 specifications per amendment 01 This amendment 01 is being issued to include the following changes: 1. The proposal due date has been extended to 4:00pm EST on Monday, September 15, 2014. 2. An updated version of the specifications has been attached to this amendment which include the following revisions: a. On page 1590-1 section 1. General: the requirement for thermostats and timers to control misters has been removed. Timers will only be required for the lighting system. b. On page 1590-1 section 2. Equipment subsection b. Timers: items 1 and 2 have been removed and replaced with "1. Timer for the lighting system shall be a seven day control unit. Unit shall be a 120 V, 20 amp per pole DOST. Timer shall be mounted in the electrical panel enclosure." 3. The following RFI's have been received and answered: a. RFI 1 - the plans and specs do not say what or how to control the FJ-1's. Answer - FJ-1's shall be manually controlled by a switch at each unit b. RFI 2 - the plans and specs are unclear as to whether there are 3 or 4 Overhead doors and how many High Lift. Answer - There are a total of 4 overhead doors. On the drawings, the schedule should have had a "3" instead of a "2" for the number 1 doors on the schedule. The high lift track is for the number 2 door is as shown on the schedule. c. RFI 3 - can proposals be submitted via email? Answer - Yes, proposals may be e-mailed to Trent.Stevens@ars.usda.gov. Mailed proposals will also be accepted as outlined in the solicitation. Faxed proposals are not allowed and will be rejected. Offeror's are reminded to acknowledge receipt of this amendment on page 2 solicitation by filling out boxes 19, 20a, 20b and 20c.
