Description
SYNOPSIS: Recharge Area Delineation study and Vulnerability Delineated mapping SPECIAL NOTICE: THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT, NOT AN RFQ. The intent of this notice is to inform the vendor community of USFWS's proposed contract action. This proposed procurement is for items which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 8.405-6(b)(1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than September 12, 2014, 12:00PM CDT. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service intends to award a sole source contract to Ozark Underground Lab Inc. Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The purpose of this procurement is to provide a Recharge Area Delineation analysis study and Vulnerability Delineated Mapping of the Kay Branch Fen Complex, Reynolds County, Missouri to help direct the management of the privately owned site and establish a management program with all adjacent areas that provide water to the complex which is likely the largest endangered species Hines Emerald Dragonfly site in Missouri and one of the largest sites in North America. Ozark Underground Lab Inc. does all dye analysis work with a Shimadzu spectrofluorophotometer operated under a synchronous scan protocol. The NAICS code for this requirement is 541690, Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services with a size standard of $15000000.
