Description

This is a combined notice and solicitation with intent to award on a sole source basis to Miteq Inc for Miteq Down Converter D-9805-1K. To maintain system integrity, all items and support must be from a single source. Higher-Level DoD requirements necessitates that all hardware and ancillary support be obtained directly from Miteq Inc. The Satellite and Instrument Development (SAID) division at the U.S. Naval Observatory currently has two X-band satellite systems with Miteq down converters in operation. The required items ((2) Miteq Down Converter D-9805-1K) are compatible in all aspects with the existing systems presently installed and meet all USNO requirements. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
