Description
This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (Hubzone, 8(a), small, small disadvantage, or service disabled veteran owned small business) relative to NACIS 811219- Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance (size standard of $20.5 Million). Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on the General Services Administration (GSA) Advantage! eBuy website or the Government Point of Entry (GPE) website Federal Business Opportunities (FBO.gov) website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network 11 Contracting Office in Indianapolis, IN is seeking qualified and responsible sources for a potential contract to provide annual maintenance & repair services for a Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. manufactured Aquilion 640 CT system. The services required to meet the Agency's needs are a comprehensive maintenance and repair plan for the Toshiba Aquilion 640 CT system. This maintenance and repair plan shall include regular preventative maintenance and emergency repairs during normal working hours in order to maintain the system at Manufacturer's specifications and reduce equipment downtime. The contract will require the Contractor to perform routine quality assurance evaluations in order to assure optimum performance of the CT system. The contract will also require the Contractor to provide software updates/upgrades and hardware upgrades to the system which are intended to reduce safety risks. All maintenance and repairs must be done to OEM specifications. Any interested vendor must demonstrate successful performance of maintenance on Aquilion 640 CT systems and provide evidence or proof of OEM training. The intended acquisition is for a contract with a base year and up to two (2) one (1) year options for a period set to begin on or before October 1, 2014. Interested parties are encouraged to respond to this announcement. Responses to this notice should include company name, address, point of contact, GSA Contract Number (if available), size of business pursuant to the following questions: (1) Is your business small (2) If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emerging business, or small disadvantaged business? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? (4) Is your firm a certified "Hubzone" firm? (5) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? (6) Is your firm a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small or veteran owned small business? Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to the attention of Contracting Officer Jared Tritle at Jared.Tritle@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than 12:00 PM EST September 2, 2014. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
