Description
SOURCES SOUGHT The Mission and Installation Contracting Command - Presidio of Monterey has a requirement for an Auxiliary Fire Pump in support of Presidio of Monterey Fire Department at Seaside, California. The purpose of this Sources Sought notification is to conduct market research to gather information in determining if interested and responsible sources are available to meet the requirements of this procurement. In no way should this Sources Sought be construed to be a Request for Quote or a Request for Proposal. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 811198, which has corresponding Size Standard of $7M. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your business status. Requirement: Contractor shall supply and install a Waterous E511 (auxiliary pump unit) on E6131, an in service type 3 firefighting engine based at USAG, Presidio of Monterey, CA. Work will be accomplished under direction of Presidio of Monterey Fire Department and in accordance with the Statement of Work. The main firefighting pump on the firefighting engine is manufactured by Waterous. The auxiliary pump must be the same brand name as the main fire pump to ensure consistency of spare parts, ease of maintenance, and compatibility with the existing pump for maintenance. Only certified emergency vehicle technicians are allowed to work on firefighting apparatus. Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, equipment, supplies, materials and licenses, and shall perform all technical, professional, supervisory, quality control and other services necessary to successfully execute the full spectrum of the Statement of Work (SOW), in strict compliance with all applicable industry standards to include the National Fire Protection Association Codes, State, and local standards. No substandard deviation or exceptions will be allowed. Presidio of Monterey fire department shall furnish, upon request, pictures of apparatus on which work is to be completed. Responses must be received No Later Than (NLT) 3 September 2014 at 9:00 a.m. (Pacific Time) to Contract Specialist, Nongyow Willett, at nongyow.t.willett.civ@mail.mil.
