Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO8 VA Caribbean Healthcare System, San Juan, Puerto Rico intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with VITALIFE INC CAVALIERI 1590,SAN JUAN, PR 00927 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This action is for the procurement of services for Maintenance and Service Contract for The MEDTRONIC MODEL: NIM 3.0 equipment. HIS ITEM IS FOR DIRECT PATIENT CARE. FAILURE TO OBTAIN IN TIMELY MANNER WILL RESULT IN A THREAT TO HEALTH, WELFARE AND OR SAFETY. No solicitation package is available. Interested persons may identify their capability to respond to these requirements by August 29, 2014 10:00AM Caribbean/Puerto Rico. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
