Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the solicitation in its entirety; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement shall be conducted under FAR Parts 12 Commercial Acquisitions and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Award to this solicitation shall be based on the offeror's ability to provide those specific supplies and services stated in the solicitation. Solicitation number VA262-14-Q-1375 is issued as a "Brand Name or Equal" request for quotation (RFQ). The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334516. The Small Business size standard is 750 employees. This RFQ is open to all prospective Offerors and is not set aside for small business. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price award. Responses to the solicitation shall be due on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 0800 PST. This equipment will be used to study the relationship between eye movements, memory and brain damage in memory-impaired patients.
