- The California Army National Guard, Recruiting & Retention Battalion has a requirement to purchase a paid sponsorship with The Los Angeles Angels baseball team, for recruitment purposes. The California Army National Guard intends to award a contract to the Los Angeles Angels company on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Los Angeles Angels are a unique and sole source because no other name brand team can call themselves The Los Angeles Angels, other than the Los Angeles Angels. It is this name recognition that the California Army National Guard seeks when purchasing a sponsorship. The contract will be awarded as an initial base year, followed by four (4) option years. This is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. The following required elements shall be delivered under this contract: Tabling at 2 locations for 5 games; (1) On-field pre-game ceremony to honor new CA National Guard enlistees with color guard; (2) autographed jerseys and (6) autographed balls; (2) VIP experiences to watch battling practice from the field for 4 people, including (4) field level tickets to the game and VIP behind the scenes tour; Tabling at (1) LA Angels Foundation Community Event; Full season concourse television ads, will include 30 commercial spots and tower ads on 89 TVs throughout the stadium; One (1) 30 second spot during the in-game broadcast radio on AM830 for 30 games (in English) and one (1) 30 second spot during the in-game broadcast on KWKW1330 for 40 games (in Spanish). The following FAR and DFAR clauses are hereby incorporated into this notice: 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements; 52.204-7 System for Award Management registration; 52.222-53 Exception from Application of the Service Contract Act to Contracts for Certain Services-Requirements; 52.232-33 Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-System for Award Management registration; 252.232-7003 Electronic Submission of Payment Requests and Receiving Reports. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date of August 29, 2014. Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. Written responses shall reference the Notice of Intent no. W912LA-14-T-0047 and may be submitted electronically no later than 9:00am Pacific Standard Time (PST) on August 29, 2014 to the Procurement Technician, Jeannie Thornton at Jeannie.r.thornton.civ@mail.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
