Description

The purpose of this amendment 1 is to answer the following questions and extend the due date to 8/28/14, 4:30 p.m. ET. 1. Is this a new design? Is yes, there is a design fee that would need to be added as a line item in Part 2.2 Or, I could add the Design Fee costs into the pricing of Line Item #1. Answer: Yes, this is a new design. Please add to pricing in Part 2.2. 2. If this is a new design, we would not be able to meet your "delivery shall be 30 days after receipt of award". Once the award has been made, Affymetrix Bioinformatics Services will begin a back and forth process with the end user. The end user will supply us with sequence information, and we will propose designs based on those sequences. Changes may occur during this back and forth process. This process can take months to get to the final design. Once the end user signs off on the final design, the design goes to manufacturing. Once in manufacturing it takes 4-6 weeks to ship product back to end user. Answer: The design process itself may take 3 to 4 months, and the manufacturing process 4-6 weeks. delivery shall be 120 (or 150?)days after receipt of award.
