Description

NOTICE OF INTENT The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 7, intends to award a sole-source contract to Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Neurology, Woodruff Memorial, Bldg. 6000, Atlanta, GA 30322 for the Neurology Research Seminar Series. The contractor will provide support for the Rehabilitation Research & Development, Atlanta VA Medical Center, 1670 Clairmont Road, Decatur, GA 30033. Emory University School of Medicine offers the academic lecture series specific to the Neurology field in the immediate area around the VA that yields the affiliations and by showcasing top researchers in the field of environments and aging to promote collaborations and provide a venue to share cutting edge research. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation for offers. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product to Takya Smith, Contract Specialist, at takya.smith@va.gov by August 26, 2014 by 12:00 NOON EST. All capability statements received by the closing of this notification will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 611310. This is for informational purposes only and not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Any information submitted to this notice of intent is voluntary.
